Spring Excitement
Spring and Summer Excitement is in the air! There is so much happening at the center, we couldn't even fit it all in the April Newsletter. Soccer Shots is starting in the preschool and prekindergarten classrooms on Mondays, Garden Education with The Edible Classroom begins on Thursdays and Mrs. B is back for story time on Fridays. The Easter Bunny will also be making an appearance April 12th.
Outside, new surfacing will be arriving soon - we will happily say goodbye to the muddy playground! Summer will bring a new water table for play and vegetable "washing" area. The toddler playground will also be expand as we add more push bikes, riding toys and different climbers.
On Friday, April 22, we are thrilled to be hosting two wonderful celebrations, a Move-Up STAR 3 event and a Earth Day Garden event. The Move-Up STAR 3 event will be early in the morning, between 8:30 - 9:30 and includes a visit from various community members, including Senator Aument. Beginning around 10:00am, the Edible Classroom will be leading a family activity with take-home planters using old milk jugs. More information for these events will follow.
April also brings Summer Schedule Changes and planning for new year tuition rates. You can find both the schedule change form and the 2022-23 rates in the Tuition Costs section of the website. This year, we created a video to help explain about tuition in childcare. As childcare has been in the national conversation more frequently over the last two years, we get two consistent comments. The first is Why is childcare so expensive? The second question, of equal importance is, Why do childcare teachers not got paid much? To find out the answer to these questions - please check out our video!
