Allowing inside drop-off & pick-up
Please review the following information regarding entering the building.
May 14, 2021
Thank you so much for your flexibility and patience over the last year. We know that there were drawbacks with all the restrictions and requirements in place, one of which was taking time to connect with your child’s teacher. We are hoping to change that this summer. As of Tuesday, June 1, 2021, families will be allowed back into the building for morning drop off and afternoon pick up. There are a few adjustments, as we still need to keep our students and staff healthy.
As a reminder for our security, all families must come to the front door, ring the bell and wait to be buzzed in by a staff member. Please have ID ready, as we instruct all staff to ask for identification if they are uncertain of family member’s identity. We believe it is better to check and confirm than make an error.
All adults must wear a face covering to enter the building. If you do not have a mask or other covering, you will not be permitted inside. Additionally, we are not staffing an extra teacher for drop-off and pick-up times, your wait may be longer without a covering. At this time, we have no additional clarification from our licensing agencies regarding mask-wearing for fully vaccinated individuals.
In the morning, families must escort children to their classrooms, please do not drop off inside the door. In the afternoon, families will be buzzed in and they can head to their child’s classroom to get belongings and get a quick update on the day before leaving. We ask for you to limit your time inside the building to no more than 15 minutes.
Lastly, we will no longer be performing health screenings at entry. We ask you to please prescreen your child at home before arriving. Do not bring your child to school with a temperature, a new or persistent cough, or if anyone in your household has tested positive for COVID19.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out. Thank you again for all your support. We are looking forward to this big step forward!
